Jim Acosta clearly did lot learn his lesson after his short ban from the White House. He went after Kellyanne Conway today in another disgraceful performance on the White House lawn.
Thankfully, Kellyanne Conway does not suffer fools in the media and she hit back and embarrassed Acosta in a video that quickly went viral.
“Kellyanne, can you promise that the president will tell the truth tonight? Will he tell the truth?” Jim Acosta asked.
Conway responded, “Yes Jim, and can you promise that you will? The whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God? Am I allowed to mention God to you?”
Acosta shot back reminding her that he doesn’t have “an alternative facts problem” like she does.
“You know, Jim…make sure that goes viral,” she said. “This is why, by the way, this is why I’m one of the only people around here who even gives you the time of day.”
“And let me get back in your face, because you’re such a smart ass most of the time and I know you want this to go viral, a lot of these people don’t like you,” she said pointing to the gathered reporters.
And why would they? Acosta is a showboat always grandstanding at press conferences to build his brand, not even CNN’s.
Kellyanne defended her infamous “alternative facts” comment before smacking around Acosta by reminding him of CNN’s record with the truth.
“Don’t you put it back in my face, for all the corrections your network needs to issue. The disrespect that you show to me personally, I’ll just look past.”
Acosta tried to follow up with a weak, “Ma’am…” but Conway had enough and said, “No no, don’t call me ‘ma’am’ to make it up.”
